Need Some New? Try The Zoo!
Science Teachers: Are you in need of some new, fun ways to introduce California Science Standards to your students? The Sacramento Zoo can help!
Everyone knows the zoo is a wonderful place for a field trip or an end of the year reward, but the zoo offers so much more - especially for teachers.
As a long standing partner in the science community of Sacramento, the Zoo works to connect animal, science and environmental education with the classroom. Our Zoomobile programs are all formatted to meet the California State Science Frameworks and are designed to enhance your in-classroom curriculum. We also provide self-contained resource kits covering a variety of topics, which can be checked out from our Education Department.
The Sacramento Zoo, in partnership with the San Juan Teachers Association, hosted a two-day teacher workshop. This interactive, entertaining and informative session took place on Saturday, March 13th and Saturday, March 20th, 2010, and featured live animals!
